Association class

I may be misunderstanding something, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I have created a class diagram which has two classes associated by an
Association class which has it's own attributes.

I now want to create an object instance diagram which illustrates some
realworld instances of the class diagram

I can create object instances of the two classes but I can't figure out how
to create an object instance of the association class so that I can
illustrate the values that the attributes of the association class would have.
