Assorted errors

1. I get an error message--not enough memory for the
program--right after I've turned on the computer!
2. I attempt to open a Word document and the computer
freezes--I can do nothing except Ctrl/Alt/Del and start
over.
3. In receiving e-mail attachments, I am unable to open
them because I don't "have program associated for
performing this action." And when I follow directions on
setting up a file, nothing happens.

Check the amount of RAM in computer.
On WIN desktop right-click on "my Computer"
look for a number like "256Mb". If is as low as say 8 Mb
then this probably explains the prob.
