ASX file

I received a message with an attached .asx file. None of the programs
I have seems to open it. Please advise what program available for a
Mac will open the file.

It is a Windows Media file. Depending on the encoding, you can open it with
Windows Media Player for the Mac.

Windows Media Player for the Mac.

VLC might also manage to open some of them. Actually the .asx files are
very small. If you edit them with a text editor, you'll see an XML-like
structure with http:// or mms:// links in the file.

WP is really, really buggy and often fails to parse the ,asx file
properly. It might be worth editing the file, copying the link and use
the Open URL command directly from WMP. I get much, much better results
through this (tedious) method,
