ATI Display Driver Crashes MS Project

I have a Dell Precision Workstation 530 with an ATI X700 Pro video card
installed running XPsp2. We use this as our conference room computer,
so it is connected to both an Infocus LP640 and a std crt. Everything
except MS Project 2003 works fine, if you set ATI's control panel to
only use a single display MS Project works fine. We had the same
problem earlier with an old ATI card, but were able to rollback the
display driver and MS Project worked. Since this new video card does
not have an old driver, we can't use that fix. ATI tech support says
it is Microsoft's problem. The fix that was reported here earlier
("Crash Loop with PowerPoint and Projector" Apr 22) doesn't apply to
our display driver.

Has anyone else worked around this problem?

Thanks for any assistance!

Hi I experienced the problem today while at a training course..
I have a Dell D600 which uses a ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 Video Card

I tried re-installing, repairing, Service Packing, repairing office, but to
no avail

It first manifested itself in Project Web Access when attempting to load the
user list into the grid control, basically we got the error of a Divide By
Zero

I left the course with no solution and when i powered up back home not
plugged into the projector, it worked fine both in Project and Web Access

The one time I've had a similar problem it turned out to be, believe it or
not!, that my default printer was set as a network printer that of course
was unavailable when the laptop was not connected to the network. Setting
the default printer to a generic printer driver on the local parallel port
fixed it, even though a printer was not actually connected. It's a long
shot, but worth a try. Sometimes I think the entire body of computer
technology is actually voodoo and magic disguised as modern engineering.
