ATI X700 Video Driver conflict with MS Word 2003

Hi,
When I try and use MS Word 2003 on my laptop the whole system crashes.
Sometimes I get a physical memory dump and sometimes I get a VPU recover from
my graphics card reseting the driver. The card is an ATI Mobility Radeon X700
and i've tried many different drivers for this, 2 different versions of
windows, 2 different versions of office and am having no luck.

What can i do to fix this as i can't do anything using Word? The other
office applications work fine.
