"Attach to Email..." from Acrobat causes Outlook to Freeze

All workstations are XP Pro w/Outlook 2003 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.x.

The problem: A user viewing a PDF file in Acrobat Pro 7.x clicks the "Attach
to email" button to launch a blank outlook email and attach the pdf file,
which works fine. They complete the email and click send, at which point
both Acrobat and Outlook freeze. The only way to recover is via End Task.
The email is lost and must be done over again.

This does not happen every time the Attach to Email option is used in
Acrobat, but it happens often enough that in our 30 person office I hear
about it several times a day.

Google hasn't yielded any solutions that work; just other people with the
same problem still looking for a solution. Those people report using
different versions of both Outlook and Acrobat, but are experiencing
identical symptoms to ours. Does anyone know if the fault lies with Outlook
or with Adobe? We rarely use 3rd party programs invoke an email other than
Acrobat, so tracking down the cause is difficult.

I should be clear that Outlook is not crashing...it is freezing. This means
there is no helpful information in any event log.

Any thoughts or help appreciated...thanks in advance.

Bryan
