Hello all,
Has anyone seen this before?
I created 3 appointments in OL at work (OL 2003 connected to an Exchange
server). I created an email to send to my home email address and
inserted/attached these 3 appointments.
When I received this email at home (OL 2003--no Exchange server--POP3
server), the 3 attachments were there, but they all were meeting requests.
When I opened them from the email, there was a message at the top...somthing
about not being in the calendar or being deleted. I couldn't move/copy via
dragging directly to the calendar (don't remember what the message was), but
I could drag them to my inbox. From the inbox, I could drag them to the
calendar, but it said that it automatically accepted the request and sent a
response.
Today at work, I checked my Sent Items folder, found the email I sent
myself, and opened it. The Icons of the attachments are appointment icons
(not meeting items/requests). When I open them from the sent email, they
open in the appointment form...not a meeting request/item form.
Anybody know what is going on here? Why are these appointments getting
converted to meeting requests/items?
Also at home, I was looking into VBA code to easily switch a meeting
request/item to an appointment. I didn't find anything. I'm guessing that
I would have to create a new appointment item, copy all of the pertinent
info from the meeting item to the new appointment item, then delete the
meeting item. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide,
Conan Kelly
