Attachements won't open. Please help!

I just started using Outlook Express 6 and for some reasons, I cannot
execute any attachments. The paper clip icon appears, showing that an
attachment is included with the e-mail, yet when I click onto the
icon, a small window opens up, but both the attachment description or
the "save attaintment" options are not highlighted and you cannot do
anything with them. I then forward the same e-mail to myself, use
another e-mail program to open them and the attaintment is available
and executable. What is wrong and how do I fix it please?

Lastly, if there such a thing as just an "Outlook" mail program? If
so, where do I get it and what does it offer that "Express" does not?

Go to "Tools | Options | Security" and uncheck "Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

Of course, once you do this, you are now allowed to open an attachment that
could potentially be a virus...
