Attaching and Saving Email Attachments Delay Problem

Whenever I try to attach or save an attachment to an Outlook email, it takes
approximately 1.5 minutes to open the folder and each subfolder till I get to
where I want to attach from or save to. This only happens when I am remote
working wireless or wired such as at a hotel or home. Whenever I am at work
and signed in on the network, the process is quick and painless. I can wait
as much as 5 minutes trying to save a document but if I turn off the
wireless, it quickly opens the local file and saves the document. Our IT
Department has looked and cannot determine the issue and others don't seem to
have the problem. They have reimaged a new laptop and the same problem
exists. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes- There are mapped drives present on the server. Is there anyway around it
looking for them first? Others in the company don't seem to have the issue
but they have drives mapped also.
THanks

Are these mapped drives? Do you have many drives mapped? Outlook always
seems slow with mapped drives as it checks the drives first.
