Attaching captions to objects in documents

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) How do I attach a caption to an object such as a photo, figure or the like in a document such that they don't separate at the bottom of a page?

It would help a great deal if you'd give an indication of what program
you're using... And it would be to your benefit to post to the group
specific to that program rather than to the general Office group.

Open and use the Annotate options in Preview

Insert both the picture and the caption (via Insert>Caption) inline, not as
floating objects. Create a style for the picture itself, and change the
paragraph options of this style to make it keep with the next paragraph. If
you do not know how to do this, post back, and you'll get more detailed
instructions.
