Hi,
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas it would greatly appreciated as
i am very new to access.
I have several users all with office 2003 fully up-to-date. I am
trying to setup a Contact Management Database with access 2003. The
database will be held in a share on an AD Server in a folder called cm
and all users have a link to the db. \\server\cm
I have downloaded the template from Microsoft
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/templates/TC010178391033.aspx which
is ideal for a beginner like me, however I would like to have an option
in the database for users to be able to add, open and close different
files types to different contacts. i.e. lets say a Contact Name of
"Fred Smith" the user then can attach any file type to the Fred
Smith contact. I think we will use the most common files I guess it
will be word, excel, txt and pdf etc etc. Due to the size limit with
access it would probably be best for me to have links to the files, but
have all the files saved to the contact management folder on the
server.
Any suggestion would be most welcomed
Thanks
