Hello- I am working with Microsoft InfoPath 2003. I have created a Report
Request form for staff to use at our organization. The form has two
sections- one for the requestor asking for a report and another section for
the individual pulling the report. Each section has its own file attachment
field. It is requested that users zip their file whenever they are attaching
it to the form in order to ensure that the request saves appropriately and
that we are conserving space.
The Scenarios and issues:
The good scenario: Whenever the end user initially uploads a zip file to the
form, they are able to find all files with a .zip extension and attach it to
the file. If the end user continues to keep the form open, they could also
attach a second zip file to the 1st or second attachment field. In other
words, everything is function perfectly.
The bad scenario: However if the end user saves and closes the form, then
goes back into the form and tries to attach another zip file, the browser
will not display/find any files with a .zip extension....But the browser will
display excel and word documents...everything but zip files. Has anyone
encountered this before and is there a work around? Did I set up the form
incorrectly? Can you only attach zip files during the initial attachment
process? This is extremely frustrating. Any thoughts/advice would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!
