Two Problems.
1) I'm a comp. tech for a medium sized organization. We run a single domain
with a single exchange 2K server. With certain types of attachments like
..url and .mdb, outlook blocks the recipients from being able to access the
attachments. On my workstation I'm running Outlook 2000 SP3 version
9.0.0.6627. If I go to Tools --> Options --> Security --> Secure Content,
There is no button called "Attachment Security", which is normally right
underneath the "zone settings" button. My boss is running Outlook 2K SR1
version 9.0.0.3821 and he has "Attachment Security" button. Within the
attachment security window there is two settings, High and None. When none
is selected, he can receive all attachments just fine. I guess SR3 took this
function away from Outlook? If this is the case, how can I set Outllook to a
setting where it will not block attachments. I've been all through Outlook
2K (SR3) and have not been able to find a way to allow (unblock)
attachments. When an email is received with an attachment of these types
(and many more), there is a yellow bar in the header area that says "Outlook
blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments:
example.url".
2) While in Outlook Today, nomrally I would be able to click on the
"Customize Outlook Today..." button and it would take me to a configuration
page where I can change the color scheme and appearance of the Outlook Today
window. For some reason, whenever I click on this button, nothing at all
happens. The button gets pushed in when I click on it, but I am not taken to
the customization page. However, my boss who is running Outlook 2K SR1
(instead of SR3 like me) can use this function normally (it works fine).
Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work in SR3?
Thanks in advance for your help.
