Attachment doesn't arrive

Martin Gerlach

Hello!

I have a really strange problem. We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchange
2003, all patches are installed.

The problem is, when i send e-mails with attachments (.doc.;.pp;.pdf;.txt)
to certan external users the e-mail arrives without attachment. For example:

I send an e-mail to (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed), both are getting my
e-mail but only hans got the attachment. There are no restrictions on the
exchange server to block an attachments.

The other strange thing is when somebody else from my domain sends e-mails
to hans and lisa they are both getting the attachment.

Anyone an idea what is going on? there are no viruses or spyware on this
machine.

Thanks for help!

Martin

Does the recipient who does not receive the attachment not use Outlook? There
is an issue if you use Rich Text Format which is specific to Outlook. Non
Outlook using recipients may not see anything in the body of the email or
attachments may even be stripped out. If you use plain text or HTML this
should resolve the problem.
Another attachment stripping problem for non Outlook recipients is using
Word as the email editor if Word is not the same version as Outlook.
Check and let us know.
