Attachment download aborts !!

We cannot download large attachments (3-7 MB) in Outlook 2002. After about
one minute the connection aborts with the error message "Connection to the
server could not be established. XXX account is now in offline mode." Help
for this message says to increase the timeout period, but also notes that
the user cannot change the timeout for HTTP accounts, like the MSN Premium
accounts we are using. We have also disabled our e-mail antivirus program
to be sure it was not the culprit and it apparently is not the problem.
Have had a few suggestions, but are still looking for answers to this
perplexing issue. None of our associates seem to have any problems
receiving and downloading attachments of this size. We would appreciate any
clues anyone might have. Thank you for any help.

Here is an addendum to the issue. These same attachments will download in
Outlook Express 6 without any problem. The problem seems to be in Outlook
2002 specifically. Is there some limit imposed by Outlook 2003, that is not
imposed by Outlook Express? It would be extremely sad that the FREE
(Express) product works better than the RETAIL (2002) product? If there is
a limit imposed, how do we change it, especially in light of the fact we
cannot change HTTP timeout settings in Outlook 2003?
