Attachment encoding

Hi everyone,
I have an infopath form that can have attachments on it. I save all
the information on a SQL server database. I need to open the these
attachments from a web report, the attachments can be excel, word,
jpg, pdf, etc. Does any body know how infopath encodes these
attachments? and what metadata gets added to the attachments? I need
to get the document in binary format and its name.
