attachment field

I've added several jpg's in the attachment field and they display nicely on
my form.
Even IF I delete them from my computer! I inadvertently deleted one from
the folder I was storing them in, however it still showed in my form.

Does Access store the attachments within Access once they are attached?
If I open a file, the properties show the temporary internet folder. And
would that mean that if I purchase a new computer, all my jpg attachments
will be gone??

Hi,

When you attach file to email, then the copy is saved and send with
email. You can delete source file, but the file added to email stays
there. Same with attachment field.
