When I attach file as usual the attachment icon appears in the body of the
email instead of the "attachment" line. could it be a virus?
This just came up in the last week, first for a user of Outlook 2003 and
several days later in Outlook 2007. Outgoing format is set to HTML, network
is Windows Small business server 2003 STD.

Of course not.

Attachments appear in the body of the message ONLY if you're using Rich Text
as the compose format. When composing a message, click the Format menu and
see what format is checked.
