I have a secretary in the law firm I support who is opening an HTML message
with approximately 100 .msg attachments attached to this message. When she
does so on her PC (1 GB RAM, 2.8 GHz processor, Office XP), she sees only
semicolons in the attachment bar of the message. When she goes to the File
menu and chooses to Save Attachments, it lists all of the attachments. When
this message is opened on any other computer at my firm (including mine, with
768 MB RAM), I see envelope icons which represent each attachment showing up
in the attachment bar, just like they should (and unlike on her computer).
She has IE 6, and is setup to a default printer of an HP LJ 5. When I go to
a different secretary's desk with the same basic setup (IE 6, OL 2002, 1 GB
RAM, also printing by default to an HP LJ 5), I actually am able to see the
message icons.
Any idea what might be causing this on her PC? I've checked the advanced IE
6 options, especially all regarding images, and have verified that all
settings are the same between all three computers (mine, hers, the other
secretary's). What else should I look for? I don't want to have to reformat
her computer over this silly problem...
Thanks!
