Attachment modified dates

Outlook 11.5608.5606 & C#

I'm trying to process email attachments. On one machine when an
attachment is saved, the modified date is retained from the original
file. When this message is forwarder, to another machinne and the
attachment saved, the modified date is set to the date the attachment
is saved. Can someone explain this behaviour. Failing that, is there
a way to get the modified date/time from an attachment?
