Attachments disappears when forwarding emails.

Hi all,

I use Microsoft Entourage 10.1.6 and Eudora 6.0.2 on Mac OS X. I have a
small problem.

In Entourage, whenever I forward e-mails with attachments from Eudora,
the attachment does not attach from the original e-mail. When I look
for the attachments in the forwarded e-mail, there is none. I know I
can re-attach it, but this only happens when I forward e-mails I
received from Eudora.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Willis

Try attaching the message to a new message and sending it that way.

The way Eudora works, all attachments are automatically removed from
messages when they arrive, saved to an Attachments folder, but there's a
link in the email to retrieve it. Somehow or other, it seems they are
"planning" for this behavior when _sending_ messages too - although it's
hardly necessary since they're able to do the same thing when receiving
messages from other email clients. There must be something in their message
source that sort of "detaches" the attachment from the rest of the message
in the source so it's not seen as part of the message source when
forwarding. There's nothing you can do about that except re-attach the
attachment. which lets Entourage do it properly.

It could be automated by script if you were willing to always use a
different keyboard shortcut (or go to the Script menu) every time you want
to forward, rather than click the Forward button or go to the Message menu
or press cmd-T.

Sorry - cmd-J. (control-cmd-J could be made to work).
