attachments received as .msg files

I installed Groupwise for a short time, then
uninstalled. Since then, many messages not all) are .msg
files which show an unfamiliar icon and will not open. I
get error message "the form required to view this message
cannot be displayed" - I have checked on KB and there is
no frmcache.dat file. Also, when ono a website which has
a "contact us" link, if clicked, a message comes up "the
default mail client is not installed properly" and dozens
of windows open, trying to open a website with the
mailto: address in them.
Groupwise/novell folders are uninstalled or deleted. I
have detected and repaired Outlook 2002 numerous times.
Any help? Thanks.

Recreated your mailprofile already? Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show
Profiles
Also check that Outlook is listed as the default e-mail handler in Control
Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs
