Attachments will not open

Hello,

I have a remote employee who is trying to open attachments in
entourage 2004, and can't.
Here is the senario:

Entourage 2004 is connected to Exchange 2003.

..the attachment is a small excel file.
..the attachment is sent from another entourage client through
exchange.
..when the attachment is double clicked on in entourage the excel
splash screen shows but then nothing happens.
..I tried accessing the attachment from another mac with entourage 2004
and the attachment opens just fine.
..I checked to make sure the entire message is getting downloaded.


does anyone have any insight?

Hi Robert!

Since you mention Excel launching then the problem sounds like Entourage
has completed its part, which is to deliver the message, and that Excel
is failing.

What happens if your employee drags the Excel file to his Desktop and
then attempts to open it?
