I've read most of the threads on this subject via this site.
I have a user [Outlook '03 on XP machine] where attachment files (PDF, PPS
and maybe others) won't open. One can select via right click, open, save as,
etc. dialog box appropriate to the action come up. Upon selecting "Open"
"Save" I receive error message. "operation failed; object could not be
found" or similar.
I've tried deleting registry temp files
Google Desktop is not installed
I've tried to restore affected file associations
I'm wondering if I'm missing any other settings or apps that may be
affecting this.
We've found a work around... forward the email. Then we can open the
attachments. This is good as a temp fix, but quite a pain when dealing
with multiple emails and attachments.
Thanks for any information, thoughts, or suggestions,
