I'm not sure if this is a general Office 2003 problem or an Outlook/Echange
problem, but here goes.
My boss created a spreadsheet that he wanted to send to several people
through the companies exchange mail server. From Excel he selected file/send
to/mail recipient as attachment and got a dialog box that the mail service
was unavailable, restart outlook. After restarting outlook and retrying, the
same dialog box comes up. After restarting the computerand retrying, the
same dialog comes up.
However, if he selects file/send to/mail recipient to put the spreadsheet
in the body of the message, it sends fine.
Once Outlook has the message, he can manually attach the xls file and it
sends fine.
Any thoughts on why attachments won't send directly, but have to be
manually sent.
