Attendee names appear twice in appointments

When I create a meeting invitation and people accept it, I end up having
their names listed multiple times (upto 5 times) on the Appointment tracking
page. This makes it very difficult to see who has/has not accepted when
everyone appears multiple times. It also makes it difficult to change or
update a person's invitation. I have had Outlook re-installed to try to
correct this but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?
