Attention!!! Mass Viruses and MS Emails came from this newsgroup.

Winnie

I used and posted my own email address to reply one of
the discussion topics I had yesterday. Immediately I
received many many virus warnings and huge number of
emails from microsoft regarding all sorts of things which
were not related to me. I don't find a relavent place to
contact but post my problems here. Hope someone could
help to fix and stop the problem to affect many others
who are in the same newsgroup.

Winnie,

As I hope you have guessed, all those e-mails were not
real. Even the ones from Microsoft. Microsoft will not
send you e-mail like that. Anything you get with an
attachment will be a virus!!! Do not download or open
them!! In the future, use something like
(e-mail address removed). Anyone who want's to
legitimately respond to your email will know to remove the
nospam. The e-mail you got was automatically generated by
spammers, a particularly low form of low-life who serve no
real function to society!

If you use the e-mail address as suggested, the automatic
spammer software will be sending e-mail to a ficticious
address and will harm nobody.

ANother suggestion would be to get a free e-mail account
at Yahoo or hotmail and use that address here. If you do
both you will have a double layer of protection.

Good luck!

Kevin
