Hello Excel guru's
I'm trying to set up an excel spreadsheet to be a world time
calculator for me. I want to be able to input the current day
and time and have the other cells display the various day and
times in other cities around the world. My problem is really
two things
1. I cant find a way to format the cells to display the information how I
want it and
2. I can't get a calculation to work.
eg. I would like the spreadsheet to look like the below with
all day/times to be generated from B1
I thought the formula in cell B2 would be =SUM(B1-17) but this
just threw an error. Help please.

Melbourne | Wednesday 10:21 AM
Los Angeles | Tuesday 5:21 PM
New York | Tuesday 8:21 PM
London | Wednesday 1:21 AM
Tokyo | Wednesday 9:21 AM
Hong Kong | Wednesday 8:21 AM
Berlin | Wednesday 2:21 AM
Honolulu | Tuesday 2:21 PM
Wellington | Wednesday 12:21 PM

regards
Mark

Hi Mark,

See if the information in these two resources for Excel helps you:
http://www.tushar-mehta.com/excel/timezone.htm
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datearith.htm

You can format two cells side by side for the date then time
to get the specific formatting you show.
