Attorneys and OneNote

how they use OneNote as case management software.

I would be interested in hearing from attorneys and paralegals as to
how they use OneNote as case management software.

We do a lot of work with law firms, some of which are using OneNote, but
none of them are using OneNote for "Case Management" as the term is
commonly understood. The problem is that OneNote is really a repository
for unstructured data where as case management is generally VERY
structured data.

OneNote lacks the calendaring capabilities of a standard case management
system. It does a great job of helping you capture and organize case
notes, but doesn't do the whole time & billing aspect or document assembly.

OneNote is excellent as part of an attorney's toolkit, but I don't think
it's a particularly good choice for case management. It's not going to
compete with ProLaw or ClientProfiles for example.
