Attributes

Can anyone advise how I can change the attributes of word folders and files
in Windows XP, Office 2003? I know Windows Explorer apparently does not
allow you to change these attributes unless it's a customized setting(?)
Will appreciate any help I can get on this. My attempt is to burn some
folders and files to a CD for future use but if they are read only I cannot
even delete them from the CD or copy them etc.
Thanks in Advance for any reply.

Everything on your CD is going to be read only, and while you cannot delete a
file from the CD once it's been burned, you can overwrite the file.

You can copy the file from the cd to your hard drive and right click on the
filename and check the Read Only attribute check box off.
