Audacity

There were times, many times in fact, while wanting to Save, I mistakenly
clicked the x symbol next to Sound Track, and everything I recorded was
wiped out. Is there an option in Audacity such as " undo " ?
Also, if I clicked on the buttons too fast, IE would say something like "
audacity is not responding " and I had to close the program, then restart.
Again, what was recorded went down the drain. Is there a way to retrieve
that lost recording ?
Thank you.

Since I don't have the error message, I might have misquoted. It might not
be IE, but the error message gave me only one option .... close program.

Concerning the "x" close to the track, it's easy to recover it with Ctrl+Z
(or Edit/Undo)
Concerning the message it has nothing to do with Audacity but with the
system, maybe the remanent keys?

Thank you. And I never thought of Edit key.
As to the Error message, I am unable to reproduce it. It did say "
Audacity.exe has stopped working.......". Don't remember the rest of the
message.
