Audio in Something other than NBV

I just started using v2008 word Notebook View to take notes. I have a few page tabs, and about 30 min of audio. When I attempted to add pictures, the program kept shutting down with an error. After 1.5 hrs on the phone with microsoft, they determined the file was too large. Yet it is only 1 day of work!!!

So I was advised to use the print view, which would be fine, but is there a way to record audio in any other view besides NBV.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am afraid you wasted your 1.5 hours! Whatever the problem is, that's not
it :)

Notebook View is very fragile. I am afraid it will crash if you do almost
"anything" other than add text and audio to a freshly-created document.

Don't try to change the formatting "at all" or add "anything else" to the
document, for best results.

One of the keys is to create the Notebook document fresh each time: never
try to copy and re-edit one: that will fail almost every time.

I would suggest that you use a different means to record, and run your Word
document in Draft or Page Layout View. I know some people use Notebook
Layout with success, but I would never trust it with anything valuable. I
just don't think the feature is ready for prime time -- restrict it to
"off-Broadway" appearances and use different software for recording.

Cheers
