Audio Notes Vanished

S

When I first started using Audio Notes in MacWord 2004-Notebook view,
the icons appeared in the left when I hovered the mouse over them.
While using it one time, I hit a key, but don't know what it was.
After that point, the markers don't show up when I hover the mouse
over. THe tags are there b/c I can see them when I hit play and listen
to the notes. They show up, but I am not able to see them to jump
within the documnet. Instead I have to fast forward and rewind with
the timebar. Any ideas on how to get them to appear? It is really
annoying that they are there but I can't figure out where they went.
It's almost like I changed a preference or view option, but can't find
what was changed. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi there,

So, let me get this straight.... Your document has the audio in it - and you
can play it and you can see the speaker icons appear and disappear in the
margin as it plays, but when you hover, you cannot see the icons? - is that
right?

Do you have noteflags in the margins (like checkboxes, question marks,
priority stamps)? When you hover over the text do you see the little jewel
bullet (note handler) appear next to the text?

It could be that you erased the time stamps themselves. A select all delete
would do this (I think). Press Option F9 (press it again to exit 'Field
Codes') - if no hidden text appears next to your notes, that's it - and
unfortunately you've lost them at that point.

Oh yeah - does this happen with every document?
