Audio problem Going From Mac to Windows

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I create a slideshow in PPT Mac that contains a music file. Everything plays perfectly on my Mac. I save the PPT as a "PowerPoint Package" so that the music file will travel, then save the PPT as a PPS in the same folder. I burn a CD, and try to open the PPS version on a PC, but the music doesn't play. I have also tried to embed the file, but that doesn't work either. Is there a special way to "save" a Mac created slideshow so someone with a PC can watch it, and hear the music?

Another detail that you absolutely need to mention is the file format of
that audio file you want to use. Some Mac-specific formats cannot be
played on Windows PCs.

The file format is wav for the embedded version and mp3 for the non-embedded. Another thing is, when I copy everything over to the PC, I'm able to recreate the slideshow by opening the ppt version, adding the music, and then saving as a pps.

Audio and video files are generally a pain to share across platforms. I
don't know much about this, so let's wait for someone more knowledgeable
to join the conversation.
