Audio Recording

I`m using Windows 7 64-bit and the normal windows recorder works fine but in
Onenote, although the recording dialogue box appears when Insert Recording is
selected there is no sound on playback. In Options, no device is listed in
the Device, Input, Codec or Format drop-down lists. Any ideas why it`s not
working?

Is there a microphone under devices in the system itself? I guess ON pulls
the information from there.
Which version of OneNote are you using?
