If you're running OneNote on a Tablet PC, the TIP contains some voice
recognition features, for both text recognition and for application
control.

Good point. I don't usually think of that, since that's a Tablet feature
that just happens to work nice if you are running OneNote on your Tablet.
Does that mean I should sit partially corrected?

Sort of Kathy, because the speech on Tablet PCs and the handwriting
recognition share the same dictionary. If you train the speech on a Tablet,
make corrections to the recognition and add words to the dictionary, that is
also shared with the Tablet Input Panel Ink recognition and thus enhances
the overall dictionary. Only on a Tablet PC. :cool:

I'm not in front of my Tablet right now, but it's one of the options in
the TIP. Search the help and you're sure to find it.

Any microphone should work, with differeing results; If one really wants
accurate recognition, a lapel mic or headset mic is recommended. The
smaller built-in mics on laptops tend to be lower quality and will pick
up a lot of background noise and hum.
