I am trying to add music to a slideshow and the quality is
very poor. I have XP - but I want people who have 98 and
2000 to be able to hear the music as well.

I am recording music within the slide show. I have done
this on other machines and the quality is fine. For some
reason my quality with XP is horrible. Any suggestions?

Are you actually trying to record music using a mic in PowerPoint? You
don't want to do that. What are you recording?
