Hello. I am heading up a company wide PC auditing project at my company.
We have 1000+ PCs containing a wide range of OSs, Win95/NT - WinXP Pro.
Currently we have an Access built database that contains very general
information. I have a few objectives...
1. Automate the auditing process
2. Create a new, easy-to-use database using Access that contains all the
information we need in a customized fashion.
3. Automatically keep the database up-to-date.
Right now I am looking at a program called Asset Navigator, which is made by
Alloy. I love the information that the program extracts from PCs, but I am
having trouble linking it to an Access database that will keep all the
information up-to-date. I have been experimenting with the evaluation
version for some time with little progress. I was wondering if anyone has
any experience with PC auditing and if they could please provide some
advice?? Is there a better program than Asset Navigator out there?
Thanks!
