Auditing

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to audit data changes made to an
InfoPath form automatically? eg: what was the change (field & value)?
who made the change? and when did they change it?

This is using InfoPath 2007 B2 and MOSS.
thanks very much
cheers

SharePoint Services offers version tracking capabilities on document
libraries. This tracks time, size, and userID. To access this, within the
document library, select "Modify settings and columns," then select "Change
general settings." The fourth setting is "Form Versions," and will enable
you to set version history.

To my knowledge, any specific changes to the document would need to be
parsed through a program such as a file comparison tool, or possibly parsed
via xml and differences analyzed. The latter may be able to be done within
InfoPath code, but is beyond my expertise.

This may not have been new to you, but I hope something points you in the
correct direction.

HTH,
Josiah

Thanks Josiah,
You're right, that's not new to me, but thanks all the same. We've
pretty much decided that we'll have to implement our own process for
storing the information we require.
thanks very much
cheers
