auotmated date and times on templates in outlook

Hi fellow MS Office users,
Can anyone please tell mehow to place an automated time and date on a
template,
i have placed the box on the template and fiddled with the properties but
nothing seems to work. if anyone has a step by step method for placing this
on a template design please please let me know.

Can you expand on what you mean by "place an automated time and date" and
what "box" you are referring to? Are you referring to the new Date Picker
content control? And what do you want to do with the "date and time
automation" Also, what version of Word are you using?
