Australian Thanksgiving

OK, as we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving here in the US, Canada
has already done this a few/several weeks ago, do we actually know if
Austraiia has a Thanksgiving Holiday?

Would they stuff a Koala Bear, actually a marsupial? And whatever it
was that they stuffed, would they cook them right side up or upside
down.

I just can't resist. Been up all night.

Happy Thanksgiving to all from wherever you are.

No, no Thanksgiving holiday here. We're just thankful everyday for living in
the lucky country :)

Koalas are too hard to catch - better off with a nice bit of roo thrown on
the barbie. And *you're* the ones who do everything upside down. We're the
right way up. <g>

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it.

At least in Oz they know which side of the road to drive on is the correct
one :)

Ah! But do you know why the left is the right side?

Hi Brian,

We don't really celebrate it, and we don't muck with koala's. But some folks
do eat kangaroos. The meat is much more healthy than beef.

Lucy,

I just had a thought. Don't mention that the folks in the northern
hemisphere can use a spin emphasis of 180 degrees to fix it!

I've read several theories. One is that when people passed strangers on
the
road, they wanted to keep them on their right (sword) side rather than on
their
(unprotected) left side.
Especially so when on a horse.
Also you wear your sword on the left side and don't want it to get tangled
up with another rider coming in the opposite direction.
And you mount a horse from the left side and it is safer to do so from the
verge of the road rather than the centre.

Glen,
am i the only one who got that. Your sense of humor makes me laugh.

BTW, I knew you Pommie's didn't con-celebrate Thanksgiving. (rofl
PIMP). That ought to get a few people wondering. Actually, (rofl PIMP)
would not require any special animation effects. It would just build
down from the top.

I know Steve and Echo will get that right away. Let's see how many
more get it?

Glen,
An Aussie should never be afraid to ask. Not sure I can answer it
though. (g)
