I was completed the setting of project server management on portfolio server
2007. But when I set attribute mapping on attribute mapping template
management, the page returns message ¡§Authentication data undefined for
specified Project Server and current user.¡¨
In addition, I¡¦ve added my account to project web access, but the message
still show.

My project server definition is:
Authentication type: Windows integrated authentication
Project Server Web Service URL: http://myhost:56737/SharedServices
Project Web Access (PWA) URL: http://myhost:pwa

Authentication data undefined for specified Project Server and current user.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue for a single-server installation of Project Server 2007 and Project Portfolio Server 2007?

Has anyone found the exact config section on this? I've been through every
setting I can find on the WSS, PWA and SQL and can't get this to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

If he Project Server 2007 and Portfolio Server 2007 are installed and running
on the same server the NETWORK SERVICE account need to be added in "Process
Accounts with access to this SSP" through SharePoint Central Administration.

After that wait about 5 minutes e try again. It should work.

Nope - two different servers, since Portfolio is only 32 bit. I have MSPS
2007 on a x64 system, and MSPPM on another server.

I was having this problem as well. Settings for the Project Server
within Portfolio Server are:

Web Service URL: http://<server name>:56737/SharedServices1/
PWA URL: http://<server name>/pwa/
Default user logon account: Windows integrated authentication

Those are the correct parameters. I'm not sure if you need the
Network Service user added like Eric suggested, I didn't need that,
but your setup is different than mine too.

Anyway, you apparently have to "initialize" your user account with
Project Server from Portfolio Server. So, within Portfolio Server, go
to Properties > Project Servers, then click the radio button next to
the Project Server you want to access, and click the "Edit" button.
Assuming you're using Integrated Windows Authentication, leave the
account and password fields blank, and just click the "Update"
button. You should now be able to go back to Settings > Project
Server Gateway > Attribute Mapping Template Management and add a
template for that Project Server.

Doesn't make any sense to me why it's setup like that, but there ya
have it :)
