Authentication from Project Professional

Jim Matthews

I have installed project server on a Single Server and all seems ok, except

When I attempt to set up the connection from Project professional, and test
it fails with "you are not authorized to view this page"

By changing the authentication to the server to "anonymous", it connects
fine. If I leave it at "integrated" or "basic", it fails as above.

Is there a way to allow authentication and still connect ?

Thanks

JM

Hi JM,

It sounds like you have an IIS web permission problem.

1. Go the to IIS Manager console and expand Web Sites.
2. Right click on the Project Server web site
3. Select Permissions
4. Under Groups, select Users (<Servername>\Users)
5. Verify that Read & Execute, List Folder Contents and Read permissions
are selected.
6. Click OK

Good Luck

Set up your Project Server address in your Internet Explorer Trusted
Sites. Make sure your Trusted Sites have the setting to "Automatic
logon with current username and password".
