this issue occur recently.Last time we have no problem. Not to mention
sharepoint services!Users are prompted each time they click on a tab!!!

If this was working previously, and suddenly the server started giving you a
windows challenge, then something changed. Are you certain no changes were
made to directory security on the virtual server that Project Server is
installed to?

We had precisely this same issue in the past few weeks with a handful of
users and cannot figure out why what changed got changed (if that makes
sense).

For the people that suddenly started having the problem, the Project Server
and PWA Server URLs got removed from their Trusted Sites and the Trusted
Sites security was no longer set to Low.

(We use project.ourcompany.com as the URL for Project Server as a second web
site on the PWA/SharePoint server even though it's the same server. That's
why we have two Trusted Sites for the system).

We've got 100+ PWA users and this affected about ten of them and all within
a one week period. There were no Windows patches pushed out nor was there
any common software install. The problem has not recurred.

How about group policy changes in AD?
