Authentication Patch or Upgrade?

I have Outlook Version 8.04.5619
W98 2'nd Edition 4.10.2222A
Office 97 updated to SR-2.

On the Outlook Server Tab I do not have the option of
selecting "My server requires authentication". Is there a
fix, upgrade, or patch to add this feature or do I need to
purchase an upgraded version of Outlook? Thanks very much

I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Outlook (they start
microsoft.public.outlook)
