Auti Shapes dissapear when I add a picture to the document.

After designing a form using auto shapes as check boxes I added a jpeg logo
at the top. The form prints fine without the jpeg but as soon as any picture
is added to the document all my boxes do not appear to print. On print
preview all still looks fine.
any ideas why this is happening?

Using word in office 2007.
