Auto-acceptance of updates not working

I have read comments & instructions about how you can set rules that will
automatically accept updates to the Project for the PM. I set that rule
about 3 months ago (we use Project Pro 2003/Proj Svr & PWA 2003/Server 2003),
and until 1-2 weeks ago, these updates have posted to the Project
automatically. Then all of a sudden we now have to run the "Run Rules Now"
option to post these updates, which defeats the purpose of why we set this up
to begin with - we wanted to save our PM's the time of manual approval. We
have not made any changes to the setup of our template, PWA, or anything
else, so I'm not sure why this process has changed for us.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Dan:

The rules don't run themselves unless you or somebody else did some
programming to make that happen. The behavior you describe is the out-of-box
default and there is no other option.

Dan --

I have no idea how you got Rules to run automatically in PWA, because they
don't by design. At best, Rules are "semi-automatic," meaning that you have
to click the Run Rules Now button to activate them. They are not like Rules
in Outlook that run automatically. Hope this helps.
