auto advance with sounds

This only happens in PPT XP: When I insert a saved track
from a CD onto the first slide and set it to play across
the entire slide show, then set the slideshow to
automatically advance throughout, it will not auto advance
to the second slide. Once I manually advance to slide 2 it
will continue on its own from that point forward. I am
teaching a class and have had that problem with all of my
students. We checked all of the settings and moved the
order of the sound in the animation screen...nothing seems
to work.

PPT 2002 (aka XP) has an oddball thing with playing CD tracks across
slides which isn't very intuitive. It's explained at the bottom of
