Auto answer then delete ?

Hi

Is it possible to set up an auto-reply then delete the message.
This sort of thing.
Thank you for your e mail. Our e mail address has changed. Your message has
not been read and has now been deleted. Please contact us by phone to obtain
our new e mail address.

Is this possible or will it cause any problems - as an example if we get an
auto-reply fro some one will our messages just keep going backwards and
forwards telling each other that we have not read the message. etc.

Or is there a better way to do this ?

Oh, we have done this as our old e mail address has been "hijacked" by
spamers. They are putting it in the header of thier mails and spending out
zillions of mails per day. (thier IP address is in Nigeria). We are getting
the reject mails from people's spam blockers from all over the world (over
1,500 on Tuesday and over 3,000 yesterday).

it is possible, but it should be done with an auto-responder on the
server (and not any response rules in Outlook). Then the server can
manage everything and will notice messages that bounce back and
forward.

Try using the rule "reply using a specific template", which is designed to
send the reply only once to each sender, during a session. Of course Outlook
must be running for the rule to auto reply,and you can add any other actions
to the rule.
