auto archive in imap

Does Outlook 2007 support auto-archive from imap accounts? (imap->pst)

I've setup my inbox & sent items folders on my imap accounts to auto archive
messages older than 1 month to a local pst. I hit File/Archive/Archive
according to their settings, and just a handful of messages moved. There's
still a ton of messages from early december (2 months old) in my imap
accounts and not in the PST. (I was looking at the modified date as that's
what the forum says outlook uses).

Anyone got this to work? I've used auto archive heavily before on an
exchange back end, and I've got auto-archive set up the same.

It should, but I haven't tested it (I never use AutoArchive). However,
since AutoArchive does a "move", if it works at all, the original messages
will merely be marked for deletion and I'm not convinced they'll be purged.

I don't think that's it - it's more like it's skipping over the messages:
There are several hundred messages >1mo old in my imap folders. only about
20 got moved to the pst (yes, they were marked deleted & a purge got rid of
them). None of those that did not appear in the pst were marked deleted. It
just plain did nothing with them.
